Welcome on AGROSTAT 2010 web site


The conference aims at drawing an overview of the use of statistics in the food industry and to evaluate practical benefits given by new techniques. It wants to address both methodological and practical topics and offers an opportunity for statisticians and users of statistical methods from industry and research labs to meet and share their experiences.

This event is an initiative of the Agro-Industry group of the French Statistical Society. It is organized in 2010 by the Department of Analysis of Economic and Social Systems of the University of Sannio (Benevento, Italy).

Topics: statistical methods for sensory analysis (sensometrics), analytical methods development and data analysis (method validation, chemometrics), product and process development and control (statistical modelling, design of experiment, statistical quality control), microbial risk analysis (epidemiology, shelf-life testing, ...).

Posters can be presented on other topics.

SPECIAL AFTERNOON ON SENSORY ANALYSIS AND SENSOMETRICS

On february 23th, the day before the conference, a special afternoon of introduction to sensory analysis and sensometrics is proposed to members of industries and research laboratoires.
